Professional training, certification and accreditation

Professional Certification

Show your competence without taking a course: a professional certificate based on an independent assessment of what you can do.

Where our programmes teach, professional certification assesses. You apply, we check that you meet the entry conditions, and you are assessed against published criteria. If you pass, you receive a certificate with a unique ID and QR code that anyone can check online.

Some certifications may ask for earlier experience or specific training before you can apply.

Our certification is part of Cambridge FMA College’s own framework. It is not a licence to practise a regulated profession and it is not recognition by an external professional body, unless that is stated in writing for a named certification.

How it works

  1. Application
  2. Eligibility check
  3. Assessment
  4. Decision
  5. Certificate and verification
  6. Renewal where it applies

How you are assessed

The method depends on the certification.

Online exam

Questions on knowledge and judgement, taken online.

Case study

A written analysis of a realistic problem.

Practical or oral assessment

A simulation or an interview with an assessor, for skills such as advocacy and mediation.

Planned areas include arbitration, mediation, finance and compliance, and Islamic finance. Details, criteria and fees will be announced before applications open.
